I sent a Email to silicon chip and never got a reply, so they can go and
jump in the lake, that's the last piece of support I give them, I will never
be buying any of their magazines again.

Won't acknowledge snail mail either, especially when it criticises their
magazine.

I too went on a crusade of not buying their magazine either. Hasn't
bothered me much :)

Cheers Ray

there was no criticism of their magazine at all, I'm confused just a simple
"thanks", "but we don't wish to go with your idea" would of worked.

**Geez. Give 'em a break. If they're anything like me, what with a couple of
hundred bits of spam to sort through each day, it is very easy to overlook
one message.

Good Idea - would love to see it :)

Actually I have found that the vast majority of companies seem to
ignore email - unless its used to order something from them.

I do find that snail mail gets better results too.

I sent them an email once, commenting on their site, and suggesting
ways to improve it. I even offered to do some pages for them. No
reply. Disgusting.

I know other people who run big sites, with 600 messages a day, and
still reply to each and every one of them, with useful helpful
replies.

Interesting you say that, silicon chip is the ONLY 'company' I havent
got replies from in emails. Admittedly sometimes its slow, but I
always get a reply.

** I sent an email to Bill Gates once - telling him what I thought of
his crappy software and what he needed to do to fix it. I also made some
excellent suggestions as to who he should give his money away to.

Would you believe I got no reply ??

Pretty much. But the point was, they didn't know whether I was 14 or
140. They just ignored it.

errr., don't forget that e-mail is *not* a guaranteed-delivery service
and that many e-mail systems don't support 'read' or 'delivered' receipts.

This is SC however - they may not have the resources to handle that
bulk of mail.

Do a brief synopsis, without MS formatting, and if anyone wants the whole shebang,
email it to them. Some people can get narky when someone posts a binary to
a text based ng. Thanks for asking before posting it.

Get that will have Simpson and his acolytes pouring
from their windows like lemmings when they find out.

Must keep an eye on the ABC TV news.
