Somebody built a Tesla factor there. That isn\'t any kind of evolution - just investment.

Why no interest for such investment in Sydney ?
The Australian domestic market - 27 million people - isn\'t big enough to justify it. Economy of scale is important. Manufacture at ten times the volume and you can usually halve the purchase price. We built up a car industry in Australia after WW2, but the market wasn\'t big enough to justify scaling up production far enough to keep us internationally competitive.
