I've been learning me some electronics theory.

I got some questions :

1. Is a Full Wave Bridge Circuit used to change AC into DC?

2. Is it common practice to change AC into DC when building small
circuits? I mean when the current comes out the wall and into the
circuit, is it good practice to immediately change it into DC using a
full wave bridge circuit?

3. What really are high and low pass filters used for besides radios?

Hi,
First I would suggest that you study rectification. Do a search for
half-wave, full-wave, and bridge.
Learn about how transformers are used to supply the proper voltage to the
circuit. What is done with the DC after you transform it?
Worry about High and Low pass filters later.

A full wave bridge rectifier changes AC to pulsating DC

Yes - almost all electronics require clean DC power.

I mean when the current comes out the wall and into the
circuit, is it good practice to immediately change it into DC using a
full wave bridge circuit?

Yes - but you have to follow the bridge rectifier with filter
capacitors, and perhaps a voltage regulator.

Nope, just pointing out that HTML is out of place in a text newsgroup.
Lots of news readers won't display HTML. I guess it's an Outlook Express
default, but I think (don't have OE so I'm not certain) that you can
switch it off.
