Newbie Learning PIC Programming

Hey Group,

Im looking at learning to Pic program. Ive seen this:

Any Advice on the above? Im a total newbie so needs to be simple:/

I was hopeing maybe I could build my own Pic programmer but cant find any as
projects and now where can i find diagrams

Could anybody suggest anything else?
