NEw Life for a Li Ion Battery ? Possible?

Hi all,

My friend told me that they can renew a li Ion Battery by some equipment. As
far as I know, a Li Ion has a life span. Once it is over.. that's all.

If it is possible, does anyone know how?

Generally, when a rechargeable cell has served its time, it is finished. You
may get some very temporary life out of it with tricks, but it won't
miraculously rejuvenate. The Li-Ions I have seen have either lost
progressively larger amounts of capacity rather quickly at the end of their
life, or failed short circuit or open circuit. Trying to rejuvenate them was
pointless and fruitless. Some good folk on this NG might have a trick or two
and prove me wrong, but I am not aware of any magic cure for tired Li-Ions.
