Unlike the mindless pseudo-analyses of talk show riffraff, the above conclusion is drawn from the hard facts of initial purchase price, operating costs ( like through the roof price of gasoline ), insurance, and other factors that go into the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Add in a host of government tax credits at the federal and state level, and the EV becomes a bargain, and this is compared to a used ICE- the ones worth buying run about 45% of a new ICE- not talking about the ultra low end used cars like resale of flood damaged junk out of Florida.

And for the clueless who think the tax credits are a welfare giveaway, right now the U.S. is losing $250B of commerce ( revenue), and the government is covering a $150B annual outlay for remediation of climate change related extreme weather and other effects.
