I have an older technics stereo cassette deck, and the VFD VU just recently
died.

I diagnosed that the VU IC has failed, because its vented.

I need a supplier for the matsushita AN6870N.

People mistake these for the dotmatrix controller that is 100 pins or so.

No, this is a 28pinDIP.

Any ideas?

Hi Mike,

This sounds like the same IC used in older Gotlib Pinballs for the
player displays, try rec.games.pinball

Wes.

i know, thats a dot matrix controller. THIS ISNT A DOT MATRIX COTROLLER!
this is a analoge VU controller.

I dont know if matsushita redid the numbering system since then, but this
isnt the 5x7 dot matrix uPC.

this has a N on the back. for analogue.

Actually I was thinking of the 7-seg drivers on the older Pinballs,
you can possibly find more at
