Hi,
I am having dificulty with trying to make a simulation of a simple
circuit, it is just a simple 10mhz crystal oscilator using a cmos inverter
etc, but i cant seem to find a cmos inverter that wil do the job and has a
sim model for protel 99se. 4000 series sim models are suplied with protel
but arnt realyup to the job, and the 74ahc series inverter or similar wich i
asume wil probly work dont seem to have sim models.

(ultimatly i am wanting to add to the circuit a smal amount of voltage
control for frequency)

i have managed to make up sim models for some parts before (microwave rf
transistors etc) from manafactureres data but cant seem to make any data i
can find for 74ach series to work with protel, the info on wich feild
requires what exactly is rather scetchy and the manafacturers data does tend
to be a bit vague as to how to use their models for specific aplications,
and also the error msgs can be so vageu as to be little help.

im sure some1 must have done this before if so id be very grateful if
you cld let me know where/how i can get a sim file that works.

thnks in advance
Colin.

I have some hc inverter models in SuperSpice. There are some example
oscillators using them as well. I could post them here, but I'll let you
download the and install SS instead.:)
