Hi I am learning basic electronics and I need help with these
questions?
1. The resistance of wire does not depend upon the

A. type of insulation around the wire
B. length of the wire
C. temperature of the wire
D. Type of material used to make the wire

2. Wires from a cable to a terminal block are purposely curved.
That is properly called

A. stress relief
B. strain relief
C. a dynamic curve
D. frontal routing

or unlikely to you, and can you explain why?

To me, the answer to Question 1 should be obvious, with very little
thought, but I might accept either of two answers for Q. 2. However,
I don't want to simply tell you the answers, because you won't learn
much that way.

If you tell us your thoughts, we can either confirm the answers, or
discuss the errors in your reasoning.

to do your own homework. When you come up with questions like
that, in that form, it is indeed homework. One can avoid that
by actually phrasing the question rather than cutting and pasting
the question (and answer), but once you can do that you are
usually half way to an answer.

YOu've given no indication that you've even looked at the answers,
because then you'd be able to puzzle over them.

That is a little thin for a top gear winner.
Both questions are so easy to answer, you just toss out the apparently wrong
answers and there remain only the right ones. You do not need to know
anything about electronics to answer them, just a tiny bit of intelligence
is enough.

Those questions have been posed in an effort to try to get _your_
brain to work, not to get ours to work _for_ you.

You need to look up the resitivities and temperature coefficients of
resistance of various conductors and then, if you still have
questions, come back and I'm sure we'll be happy to help you.

a little of the wire needs to be sacrificed in order to do that. The
curve in the wire is called a "service loop".

I (as a past teacher of electronics) would suggest a focused reading
assignment. Although I wouldn't normally post a direct link (because
figuring out how to find information is part of the exercise), in this
case one must read the information to get the answer for question 1:

For question 2, one might go looking up such things - there are many
names used - in this case it depends on which author one has been
expected to read.
