Need help w/ importing logo from Adobe Illustrator (eps or a

I need to import a clients logo (.ai or .eps file) into autocad 04 or
05, arrange the different pieces intto a circle pattern and scale them.
I can import the file but acad quits if I try to manipulate it in any
way. I have tried importing to existing layers and a layer of it's own.
we have also tried different things in illustrator. It always seems to
crash it, no matter how I do it. Anyone have experience with this?
 
Oops... I see I am on the wrong board. Still up for suggestions if
anyone knows.
