Need help on wiring a cold cathode ment for a computer to a

Ok, here is the situation. I purchased a cold cathode fan grill. The
cathode connects to the black box, the from there there are a red and
black wire that comes out from the other side of the box. From there,
those 2 wires run into a female connector with 4 pins. Then the red
line and a yellow line from the connector run to a switch. I already
blew one box after i cut the wire coming from the black box and tried
to just put it to a negative and positive in my battery. I need to
know how to run those cathodes to my car?

Ok, you need to know if the lamp is 12v or 5v

If you connect it to the PC power supply, what colour wires are connected on
the power supply side?
