I have a 5K watt Carrier generator head with a large capacitor on it.
These markings are on the capacitor.
P49670
Cambridge Capacitor
49uF + - 5%
330 v ~50-60hZ
-40/85 Deg C

I keep having one of the terminals overheat and melt off.
It uses crimp on friction fit terminals.
I have resoldered the wires directly to the Capacitor.
Where can I find a replacement Capacitor for it? And which one should
I get.
The overheating may be because of the load we place on the generator
being too large.

Any replys much appreciated

an appliance repaire shop may have them
since they are also used in different things
like compressor starters, Air conditioners etc..
