NEC VT440 Projector LCD Panel Sourcing

I am trying to find a source for replacement LCD panels for NEC VT440
projectors. NEC's parts department will not sell to anyone but their
authorized centers.

Your best bet is probably to find a dead projector on ebay with another
problem.

Which panel has gone bad and are you sure that it is the panel? What problem
are you having?
Keep in mind these panels are not cheap and sometimes difficult to install.
