NEC VH-92 VCR FAULT

Hi All, I have a NEC VH-92 VCR with the following fault.The customer said it
just stopped tuning.
It will not tune in channels at all.
Replaced electros in power supply and checked the tuner modules and
everything seems ok.Playback is fine and with the video off the reception is
fine.
Any Ideas

Hi,

Check capacitors in IF module. I just repaired Hitachi VCR with same fault
by replacing 3 bad electrolitics in IF.

Thanks Rudolf, this one runs a tuning module as well as a video module.I
will check both.
BTW were those caps surface mount.

The caps I had were through hole ones, but low profile.
