Mythbusters: Bug Special

" Adam and Jamie take a crack at a bee-related myth based on a viral video.
They test whether 1000 honey bees are capable of lifting a laptop. Following
this, the Build Team checks out one of the most demanded myths from the
fans. This is based on the popular theory that since water refracts light,
it would confuse flies' compound eyes. Finally, the team investigates
whether a person riding a motorcycle at high speed can be killed if he
impacts a bug. "

Should be a real buzzzzzzzzz ....

like the time they made some steel teeth like that big dude in the james
bond films. they where completely differant , had NO sharp edges, looks like
they where cut from 5 mm thick steel plate with a oxy. and they reckon they
where EXACTLY the same as the ones on james bond !!!

honey bee weights a bout 90 milligrams
they can lift their own weight in pollen

1000 times 90 milligrams = .09 kilograms .
so 1000 honey bees cannot lift a laptop.

what a bunch of faggots they are.

or the time they tried some police radar reflective paint on a remote
controlled car , i dont know how but they put that

Fuckhead.

mmmmm mythbusters .. i think.

thats not even a myth,

its not even a myth worth busting.

saying that 1000 bees can lift a laptop is just like saying a feather can
lever a 2 ton block over a fulcrum.

if you have any logic or 2 cells in your brain, you`d know that it is just
bollocks.. just sit down for a minute and think about ....

but wait phil, some one said its true , so then we better JUST TRY IT just
in case.........

notice in the video , they dont pass the stick or whatever they have over
the top of the laptop , they ONLY pass it underneath....

i WONDER WHY they didnt pass the stick over the top ?????

Impressive proof by linear thinking.

In same way we immediately have proof 2 ducted fans is no more powerful than
2 unducted fans.

"no one"

its not even a myth worth busting.

** The show was just as entertaining as ever.

Science was made palatable to the great unwashed and lotsa neat facts were
demonstrated.

Eg:

Getting two bees to co-operate is like herding cats.

Tiny, RC helicopters and bees have a lot in common.

And always wear a helmet when riding a motorcycle at 200 mph.

Or the bugs will kill ya.

..... Phil

mm i`ve actually did 217 mph got hit by locusts and i`m still alive,...

That fly one reminds me of years ago where people believed that
putting plastic bottles
of water around your yard either kept dogs out, or stopped them
crapping in your yard

Maybe should send that to Mythbusters for when they need a filler....
