Mysterious humidity sensor (difficult)

Hi,
I have got humidity sensor (probably from device made by Simens). Its
resistance in 96%RH dramatically rises from
a few dozen kOhm up to a dozen or so MOhm. I don't know producer. I don't
know what kind of material could involve
such an unexpected change. Does anyone know anything about such device or
material ?

I can think of one that goes from many megohms at low humidity to only a
few kilohms at high humidity, but none that go the other way as you
describe.
