My JVC TV lost its brains

Well, not quite... just won't keep the channel setup in memory once it's
turned off. I don't know what kind of non-volatile memory they use (Flash?)
and where to look for this part. Or perhaps it's a power supply issue? Can
anybody point a direction? And be kind enough to tell me where to find a
service manual, or at least a set of schematics?
It's a about 5 years old, 27" PIP set, JVC model # AV27985.

Kind thanks!

Service manual, JVC or any JVC authorized parts dealer.

Memory storage, EEPROM via I2C data bus from system control. EEPROM has the
same power supply voltages as the system control/micro so very unlikely to
be the problem.

Start at the system control and make sure it has its MUST HAVES:
1. Clean 5vdc.
2. Good plug in reset signal.
3. I2C data bus activity that is clean and nearly 5v peak.
Maybe more than one I2C data bus.
4. 60hz ac clock signal generated from ac line, usually through
optoisolator.
5. When tv is on, good hsync and vsync pulses.
