Quite apart from the fact that just because something
'battery-driven' or however driven, is not necessarily
'Electronic'; I do extend sympathy.
For example I've seen remains of LeClanche battery cells that
operated bell systems in old buildings over a 100 years ago; that
was well before before the discovery of the principle of the
electronic vacuum tube (let alone transistors etc.).
Just hope it will never 'go flat', 'run down', 'die' or corrode.

PS. IIRC LeClanche cells used a carbon rod positive electrode, a
zinc negative electrode and an alkaline solution called 'Sal
Ammoniac'.
