Given a $15 motion detector from Home Depot ,
can we disable its sleep_in_daytime feature ,
or toggle switch sleep_in_daytime In & Out ?

I would try disconnecting the photoresistor .

Make sure ALL power is disconnected since the circuit board is 110 V .

Then desolder on bench , or cut a trace on circuit board for photo
resistor .

Much simpler yet , just put a piece of black electricians tape on
photoresistor ( again with power disconnected...BOTH SIDES , NOT JUST
CIRCUIT BREAKER OFF )

Most if not all photoresistors have rounded zig-zags on the surface
that facethe light .

Whatever you do , I would do it on a bench and test it on a bench
wearing safety goggles ( DEFINATELY NOT on a ladder )

In the case it does not have a photoresistor , I cant help .
