MOSFET substitution

I want to build a switching power supply that calls for an IRF420
MOSFET, which looks like its really hard to get a hold of....

If anyone has some time to take a look, could I substitute this?

As far as I can see, its the same only better spec'd, but I want to be
sure before I play around with high voltage!

As far as I can see, its the same only better spec'd, but I want to be

It looks pretty close. It has a bit higher on resistance, so it is no
bigger but this should mean that the gate capacitance is not
significantly higher, either.
You might look at this plastic power tab version of the IRF420 (at
least to see a better list of specs):

Thanks for the link, I didnt know about the irfr420 and irfu420..... and
Digikey even has them in stock :)
