Monitor SONY GDM-17SE2T blanks screen after 2-3 min.

Hi. I have a problem with SONY GDM-17SE2T monitor. After 2-3 min. of
working a click of a relay is heard and the screen goes black.
Power voltages and HV don't switch off. This happens only on lower
refresh rates- 60Hz and 70Hz. At 75Hz or higher it works OK.
If someone had a similar problem, I would appreciate his help.

Some component(s) in the scan amplifiers or power supply has become
thermo sensitive. Most likely it may be some capacitors. This type of
fault is sometimes tested using Freeze Spray and a heat gun. The
suspect component is cooled and heated to toggle the fault condition
prove the fault.

The defective caps (if it is caps), can then be verified with an ESR
meter while cooling and heating them.

Sometimes these types of faults can become challenging even for the
experienced. When the fault occurs, the tech may find it more suitable
to go in with his DVM, and scope and troubleshoot the fault condition
from scratch.

There are many components in a monitor or TV set that can cause the
condition that you are describing.
