Monitor fault - screen too wide

My PC monitor has suddenly developed a fault, whereby the screen is far too
wide, regardless of resolution. There was another fault occuring at the
same (a dry joint in components around the line output transistor) which
I've now fixed, but the screen problems remains, there's no E-W adjustment
possible.

The model is a Jean VP1555 0A, type J51E, FCC ID: AMPJ51E

I'm sure it's a fault around the line output stage, probably the line output
transistor itself, but would welcome advice and suggestions. A service
manual would be most helpful should anyone here have one...

TIA

Gary,

There are decent quality schematics you can download at the FCC site
https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/cf/eas/reports/GenericSearch.cfm
Search for AMP (Grantee Code) J51E (Product Code)
On the search results page, click on 'Detail' under 'Display Exhibits'
On the page that results, right-click on 'Schematics' and save to your
hard drive - may want to rename the file before saviing, so you know
what it is later.

As for the problem, likely is a shorted yoke-return-to-ground FET or a
shorted/leaky damper diode by the H-sweep transistor. Might also be a
bad mylar cap in the same area.

Very many thanks Wayne, an excellent reply :)
