Monitor buzzes with white/black background

I have a Vitech DX-1564 15" monitor (made in Brazil) with this problem:
When I'm running an application that uses a white background (e.g. Word) or
black(e.g. while booting up, or MS-DOS) there's a low-frequency buzzing coming
from the monitor. The monitor works fine, nevertheless. What could be causing
this buzzing?

Thanks.

Strange problem...can you get any fix on what the frequency is, and
where the buzz is coming from?

I can't listen to it right now, but it seems to come from the back of the
monitor. The frequency is ~150Hz, as far as I can tell.
