Hello, I have a problem with my KTC 17" monitor with model number
7002D. I turned on the pc and discovered my hard drive cable was not
properly fixed -just lost proper contact, so it was not detecting the
hard drive I had to put off the system to fix the problem. when I had
it properly fixed I now switched on the machine again and the monitor
refused to come on it was just flashing the red power indicator as
if it was in power saving mode this time it was flashing about once a
second with a tick tick tick noise, I later found out the noise was
coming from the horizontal output transformer probably trying to "boot
up" the flyback. First I thought the HOT was the problem but I traced
the problem to the horizontal output transistor (well I don't know if
that is the real name but it is a transistor with the TO3pe package
type by the number J6812 ) I searched for the replacement but it was
not available so I went online and someone had a similar problem and
was given a list of replacement from which I was able to find one of
them which is BU2527AF after I installed the transistor the monitor
came on quite well so I switched it off then coupled it completely,
placed it on my table connected the system and put it on again it came
on showed the POST screen when it was about to show my operating
system it went back to the same problem again flashing the red light
with the tick tick tick sound I got it down again and found out that
tha transistor is dead again .Right now I don't know what to do
because this monitor is actually new I have not used it for up to six
months since I bought it. Is it that the flyback is possibly the
problem or what could be destroying the transistor that way (no smoke
nothing it just goes bad like that) please I really need the help of
anyone that could assist me on what to do about this problem
