Yes it does and I am her. I also moderate the San Diego Chargers
newsgroup as well.

Nope. This is the wild and wooly Usenet.

Besides, likely the reasons he's asking wouldn't be here if it was
moderated.

This isn't FidoNet, where the only control was to tell someone after they
posted not to do it again, or if things got really bad, disconnect that
node. On Usenet, a moderated newsgroup only lets the messages pass to the
newsgroup after they've been moderated.

Nope. Welcome to the jungle. Some readers pick up an "abuse" flag which gets rid of some spam and total idiocy, but you can say and goddamn thing you want here. You can bitch about Jews, Mormons, Blacks whatever. You can be sexist, homophobic and a total fucking jerk. You can advocate the violent overthrow of governments both legit and not. You can bitch about the military-industrial complex. You can talk about kinky sex, like tying up your girlfriend, whether she likes it or not.

But remember one thing, once you post it, it is always there forever and they can find you eventually, even decades after you post something, and it will be used against you in military court after you stew in Gitmo for a few years, if they feel like tryng you. Eventualy.

So think about that before you drink a coupl of fifths of whiskey and decide the world really sucks and your golden words are going to magically save it from itself.

(there are actualy times I did not heed that advice lol)

Interesting how a public newsgroup would have a racist homophobe as a moderator, one who's posts get deleted daily for abuse. You can't stop your posts from disappearing ms moderator?

How do you know it's a Ms ? More likely a homophobic virgin diaper lover living in a basement apartment on social security.

I do like me some racism from time to time, depending, but I have no use for idiocy.

Actually I am surprised I even got into this. It is a stupid question. If there was a moderator the OP's OP would not be here now.

Do you see 'moderated' in the group name?

I can't think of any examples now, but I'm sure I've come across moderated
newsgrops that didn't have "moderated" in the name.

But like I said, he wouldn't be asking if this was a moderated newsgroup,
because the junk that likely prompts his question wouldn't be here.

I ended up repeating myself at the weekend. I posted to a google groups
forum that did not have moderated anywhere in its front page info, or title.
You get so used to normal usenet of immediately checking , by refreshing,
that a posting has gone through.
