Hi

Could anyone introduce me modem chipset which is 300 or 1200 and is
buyable on the internet? I have known some chips but cannot find them
in digikey and allied etc. For example, MC145442 and MC145407 but I
cannot find where to buy. I also want to know the approxmate price.

Thanks!

Pay scrupulous attention to the power supply decoupling in the data sheet,
as well as decoupling the data lines. Check the chips that you get, for
noise when SQT is asserted. If you get noise, they are defective.

They haven't been made for yonks.

The 7911 was better, and both were also fussy about supply and control
signal decoupling.

CML Micro offers a whole line of chips, though they're not the most
convenient to buy on the 'net. They've been pretty good about providing
samples, though. I'm currently using their CMX860 for Bell 202.
