I think Mentor would be interested in this!

Be careful what you ask for, you never know who
may be listening (OK, watching/browsing etc).

I would encourage your college to join Mentor's Higher Education
Program, where for a nominal fee, they can legitimately access as many
licenses as they need.

Sorry to hear that you guys take to such short cuts when a
direct path is available. ModelsimXE is a free edition available from
www.xilinx.com and there are several other free simulators on the net.
Why would you look to "crack"?
