I wish to make a remote controlled device using a mobile phone as the
receiver . To operate a 240 volt domestic appliance .As anybody got any
suggestions ? .

Billy, There can be lots of suggestions. But, more details, please, to
narrow the scope. For example, would the appliance operation involve
various actions depending on what phone buttons the operator presses? Does
it matter if the mobile phone gets people calling it by mistake ("wrong
number")? There are lots of remote control interface devices. U.K. was a
leader in that area. Rob
