Mitsubishi vs-582r no vertical

Someone gave me a vs-582r mitsubishi, and said that the unit powered off and
back on with no vertical sweep. like pulling the plug, and plugging it back
in.

I havent diagnosed the circuits yet, becuase im still repairing the cabinet
from an accident during movment to a basement. (you get the picture).

I did however, power it up, the picture tubes are fine, The circuits power
up, and there is in fact, no vertical sweep.

If anyone is a euras subscriber, its listed. please let me know. In the mean
time, i have to finish repairing cabnet. (damn cheap staples and
pressboard).

thanks, Any ideas?

Repair the vertical deflection circuit including the ic and caps. ESR the
rest of the caps in the set, I'm sure you will find a few to be addressed.

IC defective, taking out diode, and fusable resistor that goes into the
flyback.

Ill replace this as soon as i get sum money.

i got the cabnet repaired, and when i tilted it back on its wheels, it
failed to power up now.

it clicks, and tries and shuts right back down.

I decided to get in with euras, and looked up the issues. they said check
D507, and R525.

I pulled out the deflection module, and OMG you can see why it failed.
jeezus i havent seen anything worse.

there are hot spots all over the board, and R525 is black and burnt beyond
recognition. I need that value.

Some power resistors lifted from the eyelets, and foil is lifted and
crumbled around the power supply diodes. there is a jump where its been
worked on before, where the board ate away over time around t502.

tons of hot spots, flux bubbles from heat. so, in a nutshell, its a mess. I
found out the circuit it also cracked around the flyback, thus cutting the
flow to the X-protect, and thats why its shutting down now. It worked on its
side, and when i sat it up, it must have seperated the already-there crack.
causing the x to fail.

I need the value of R525. its burnt beyond recognition. Its the X-protect,
and vertical output supply resistor. its just a little guy.

R525 reads open, and D507 reads shorted.

Bad deflect. IC?

need R525 value. Im assuming its a 1ohm fusible resistor??

someone pleeeeze help. This is driving me nutso.

I ordered a new vertical IC and installed it.

Replaced the diode, and resistor feeding its supply. The set turns on with a
fully restored raster. for about 10 seconds. then it will die, and when i
turn the set back on, its collapsed to a line again.

the resistor is burned. so i replace it, and the same thing happenes. but
this time, the IC doesnt fail. I just bypassed the resistor completely, and
tried to fire it up. it worked full raster, and then its out. back on, and
no vertical sweep. it shorted the diode again.

I replace the diode, and resistor. again. This time, i pull the power
connection to the deflection board, and insert my own power coard into it,
and ran the deflection board seperate. I powered up the deflection board on
its own, and of course, there is no raster because the signal board isnt
turned on yet. The resistor doesnt smoke. It remains fine.

When i turn on the signal board, the resistor starts to burn, altho i have a
perfect raster. then it opens up, and the set will shut down. I power the
set back up, and only a line.

It seems to me, the vertical stage remains fine, until the signal is
injected into the IC when the signal board is powered on. If its left off,
it remains fine.

Any ideas? PLEEEEEZZEEE help. this is making me go insane.
