I bought this Mitsubishi MGA VE-500U 50 inch projection television new in
1979 for well over $3000.00. It performed flawlessly but as it aged the
picture go so dim you only watch it at night. Replacement tubes weren't
available so in 1995 I bought a replacement, a Toshiba that since has had a
$400.00 service call. The MGA is taking up space and I wonder if anyone
with spare space is interested in preserving some history of what was high
end home projection TV. I'm guessing that in another 10 years or so it'll
be a scarce curiosity. I'm open to offers otherwise I guess I'll salvage
what I can and junk the rest.
