Hello,

Does anyone advise if a mini MP3 recorder can be programed to record an
internal tuner ?
In fact I look for a mini MP3 model witch can do the same job as a video
recorder but only for the sound !
I want to record my favorits FM audio stations at scheduled times.

Thanks,

Mine can.
Google for CAH70MT, or search ebay for
rainbow mp3
It does not do timed record.
Search ebay for
mp3 "fm record"
for models that can do this.
I'm not sure that any do timed recording.

....although, as far as I'm aware, all of the 'recording' MP3 players do so
in something like PCM, and not MP3 format. Anybody know of an exception?
Or is MP3 encoding too transistor hungry or power hungry to expect it'll
show up anytime soon in portable devices?

Bloody annoyingly the one I mentioned has MP3 encoding on line-in,
which does not use that much power, yet does not give the option of
MP3 encoding the FM output.

Yet another device for which I'd really like a programming manual,
it could be so much better.
