The Saelig Xprotolab is amazingly small (26 x 41 mm) and for only US$49 includes -
a.. Mixed Signal Oscilloscope: Simultenaous sampling of analog and digital signals.
b.. Advanced Trigger: Normal / Single / Auto, with rising or falling edge and adjustable trigger level.
c.. Meter Mode: DC, Average and Frequency readout.
d.. XY Mode (Plot Lissajous patterns or see the phase difference between two waveforms).
e.. Spectrum Analyzer with different windowing options and selectable vertical log.
f.. Horizontal and Vertical Cursors with automatic waveform measurements.
g.. Display options: Persistence, Different grid options, and more.
The drawbacks are the 3MS/s sampling rate, 256 samples buffer and 320kHz analog bandwidth,
and the tiny 64 x 128 pixel OLED, but it would be still be great for many audio and ELF/SLF radio
projects, even a handhed (or wristwatch !) graphical multimeter with arbitary waveform
generator, spectrum analyser or as a development board for the AVR XMEGA microcontroller.

David L. Jones - take note !

Couple of nice similar little units on the net too.
Another one would be an AVR based "training" device that has a larger
screen and better specs.

Me too, I don't think I could read the Xprotolab screen very well, although it has more functions than the Nano..
Thea Nano is a complete unit, the Xprotolab is a development module which you have to provide power for, connectors,
case etc. so they are not really comparable. The Nano shipping cost from Hong Kong is $29.95, while the Xprotolab
shipping from the US costs about $60 - do the Yanks rip us off on postage ? The thing is tiny and can't come
with much more than a CD anyway.

btw, appears obsolete, see:

So I guess there is another model. haven't followed through on that just yet, have a fire to put out.
