Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology?s department of materials science, in collaboration with researchers in Germany and from Boston University (www.bu.edu), have devised a microscopic system that could provide a novel method for moving tiny objects inside a microchip and could provide new insights into how cells and other objects move around within the body.
