MGE UPS problem

Does anybody has problems with the ups mge premium ellipse 800?Mine makes a
"turn on" noise every 15-30 days.I sent e-mail at MGE but no response.
Any suggestion?

sounds like a self test. Most UPS units do it. My APC does it every 7 days.

This sounds like a self test. We have a number of APS's, Belkin's, and
others around the place and at our client's places, and they all do this.

Get someone with a recording AC voltmeter to measure the input for
about four months, and see if it's not turning on during a slight brownout.

If so, then great! It's doing what it's supposed to!

A self test puts the UPS into battery mode, simulating a power failure. If
the UPS makes a noise on power failure, then yes it will make the same noise
on a sleft test.
