MC14469 UARTS Application notes

I wish to use the mc14469 uart for a project.
I have data sheets for the part but I need some examples of schematics or
application notes as to
understand how they work.
any ideas would be appreciated.

Get hold of Motorola Application notes AN806A.

If you need baud rate of 9600 you will need 12 Volt supply
otherwise 5 Volt will do 4800 Baud rate.

The crystal needs to be 307.2KHz for 4800 Baud rate.
