Marantz/Superscope repairs

I have a trashed portable tape recorder that I rescued from the junk
bin at an estate sale. I'm looking for manuals, schematics, any
information I can find about this thing at all--I haven't been able to
find anyone in portland who's interested in even looking at it to see
what's wrong with it. It's a solid machine, it has multiple inputs and
outputs, adjustable recording levels for each channel--it seems like
if it were repaired, it would make a super durable portable tape
player. the model number is CD-330. I'm guessing it was made 25-30
years ago, just by the looks of it, the brand is Superscope, but it
notes on the label: 'designed by Marantz, USA.' Thanks--Alex

It has been many years since I have serviced these, to the point that it is
hard for me to remember much. But, what I can recall is that I had to
change capacitors in these that went high in ESR. This was more of the
faults than anything else, as long as the mechanics were good. As for the
factory parts, they will be almost impossible to have, unless you can find
another scrapper like yours.

To buy parts, try this phone number for Marantz:
(800) 575-4920

I found a schematic on microfiche in my collection if you have any specific
questions.
