Marantz flywheel removal

I have a Marantz 1550 Receiver and have unscrewed the tuning wheel knob
locking nut to remove the front panel. But I can't get the knob off the
tuning weight/rod! It rotate, but refuses to come off.
Have no Service Manual yet, but one excerpt from it now would be nice...just
a few words..!.

I think those were "press-fit" and may never come out except
hypothetically with a really long "puller" and a lot of heat. Not good!
