making a spark

I'm trying to make a spark, something like a grill ignitor but battery
powered. Any suggestions? I thought about something like a stun gun, you
know, powering a large cap and making and arc but all i need is a spark.

Ignition coil.
 
I want to make this spark from an inductor. I want to make an ignition coil.

How can I do this. I have seen drawings for the inductor, etc. However, what
parts would I need specifically. I would appreciate any details anyone can
give.

Here's the catch. Most coils have millions of secondary turns, it appears.
Get a coil and if possible, the coil controller, isn't what you want is just
a spark?
