Magitronic P773 Monitor Problems

We recently acquired two Magitronic Magic 7, model P773 monitors with the
same troubles. They both give the start up noise when you power them on, you
get screen voltage for a couple of seconds, the power LED turns from yellow
to green, then the entire process starts over again. The display never
lights up. I could try the HOT but......

Any ideas? I've heard they have poor flybacks.

FCC ID: GKRM773

Thanks!

Gary:
That model number sounds a lot like a Proview. They are known for
the failure of the IRF634 FET on the rear heatsink. There is also
a 22Uf/250V capacitor that usually goes (it expands thrugh the top)
bad and causes the FET to short. Sometimes a diode in the circuit
fails. They are used to regulate the voltage going to the flyback.
Hope this helps...
