Macintosh to vga

I need to connect a macintosh video to a vga videocard... the connector is
the same (15 pin d sub higt density) but the video don't work!
How can i make connection working?
Or, someone knows the pin out of this tipe of monitor?

Which monitor? A model number would help!

Look here for info on the connector pinout configuration;

It may help you wire an adapter.

It's possible that the monitor is not designed to display the
resolution the video card is outputting.

It's also possible that the sync is positive, when the monitor
requires a negative sync...

Type the model number into google and have a fish around. You might
be surprised!

More than that is needed. All Mac video cables have some non video
signal pins jumpered to id the resolution of the monitor connected.

If you start up the Mac without something pluged into the video out
port, it sulks and puts out nothing.
