Hi:
For the newest manual, and LTspice 2.15c:
"Page 42 states that "Another exception is a symbol defined to have a
prefix of "X" and both a Value and Value2 attributes defined. Such a
component netlists as two lines of SPICE:
..lib <SpiceModel>
<name> node1 node2 ... <Value2>"
This doesn't work nor is explained clearly. It seems to imply that the
SpiceModel attribute will get netlisted as the filename of the .lib
statement. And what should happen to the Value and Value2? It states
that Value2 appears in the SPICE line for the instance. But what of the
other attributes?
In practice, when I attempt this, it doesn't matter what attribute I use
for the filename of the library, no ".lib ..." netlist line occurs.
However, the next method described in the manual does work:
"...a symbol defined to have a prefix of "X" and a ModelFile attribute
defined ..."
This method works. Why then is the second method described, which
doesn't work? Is it just an oversight left over from past manual revs?
Thanks.
