Hi,
I'm researching adding SWIFT support to Icarus Verilog, and I'm
specifically looking for some information/support on the SmartModel
side of the support.
A few years ago I was actually able to get the LMTV version of
the swift interface to load into vvp and to run. I got all the
expected copyright messages and etc. for the PPC model that I was
testing with, but I was not able to get beyond that. I then
decided to put it aside.
But I'm motivated again (day job wants it) so I'm trying to see
what resources I can dig up to make a more effective push to get
this working. So I'm looking for someone who knows how to create
the models that use a SWIFT interface. I infer from the Synopsys
web pages that the tool to make these models is VMC, but in practice
that's the limit of my experience with the producer side of SWIFT
models.
I am looking for someone who creates models to contact me and
help me fill in the gaps in my knowledge. I am also looking for
a means to create test models that I can attempt to load in order
to test my interface to the LMTV interface. (I presume that LMTV
is still the most practical way for me to get SWIFT support into
my run-time.) My primary motivation is to get Xilinx SWIFT models
working with Icarus Verilog, simply because that is what day-job
is looking for, but of course the idea is to support SWIFT in
general.
