Hi everyone.
I am trying to design a product that requires an alphanumeric LCD display.
My preference is two-row but I can do without if there is a better (ie:
smaller) solution available. So far, I am just getting legacy 16x2
alphanumeric LCDs, but I'm hoping to decrease the size.

There are really, really tiny 16x2 displays available. Probably half
the L & W of the usual (80 x 36mm?) module. They use chip-on-glass
technology.

I have used a 2x8 character display, measuring about 58 x 32 mm.

There are also neat 3x12 character modules, commonly COG, with I2C
interface.
