Yep, it sure is a blast from the past......

Let's see, it's about a 1970 vintage ultrasonic alarm.

Time for the bin, they were innovative in their time but highly
suspectable to false alarms since they detected movement.

Cheers,

Mark

Sorry about the mess up with the picture. It's fixed now.
I guessed it was ultrasonic. It seems to work OK. I left it turned on in a room and forgot
about it for a couple of hours until I walked into the room and it went off.
Thanks for the info. I bought it amongst some stuff at an auction years ago.
I wanted to do a search for info but the identifying label is missing.

Cheers,

Mark

And since I might not be able to answer any further questions for a
few days....

It had a separate variable entry and variable exit display. The
switches on the front were a 'code' to enable or disable it, basically
6 switches in parallel, if any were on the alarm was on. If you forgot
the number, or pressed a wrong button you had to take the unit apart
(after unplugging from the mains and removing the backup D cells), the
you could see the rear of the switches and see which ones were turned
on.

As I said earlier it detected movement, hence anything swaying in the
breeze would set it off.

Barry,

Model LHD 1100 - the two I still have say "Made in Italy" on the back.

I have a 12 page user manual if you want some specific information.

Mine has the Made in Italy sticker but the one with the model number is missing.

Thank you. It appears to be working. I'll do some Googling and may get back to you.

Do you use the ones you have?

Well, they must now be about 30 years old! Faded into obscurity before
Google's time.

I have not used them for perhaps 25 years.

No, I don't know why I've still got them...

I picked up mine years ago in a box of junk from an auction.
I just dragged it out to have a play with and it still works.
