Howdy all,

Looking to build (as inexpensively as possible) a 12VDC to 16VDC (4A)
converter to power my laptop in the vehicle.

I was looking at buying one, but take preference in building it instead if
at all possible...only because the cost of buying one is around $95.00.

Any schematics would be greatly appreciated :)

The easiest way would be to purchase a 12VDC to 110VAC converter. You can
get a 300W unit for as low as $30. These come with a "Cigar Lighter" plug.

I've considered that, however I was trying to make the carry bag lighter
than what it is as I currently carry a mobile ham radio/antenna, laptop, and
misc. items inside of it.

Not only that, but I enjoy building the items in my spare time...but as long
as I can locate schematics. This particular schematic has eluded me so
far...even after google-izing it. :)
