I'm specifically interested in the second aspect (Delta-Sigma).
Any other sources of information on the subject? I searched google and
didn't find anything that can be considered useful for me.


Maybe someone has it and could share it?

Much of this technology in its IC form was pioneered by Crystal
Semiconductor, merged into Cirrus Logic, and you can find a few
interesting articles there, http://www.cirrus.com/en/

Its in the J AES July 1990, You will probably have to pay for a copy.
