LiPoly protection circuit

Hi,

I need a protection circuit for my lithium polymer battery. All the circuit
needs to do is prevent the cell voltage from going below 3v. If the voltage
goes below 3v then the battery must be disconnected to prevent damage caused
by deep-discharge.

Some suppliers (e.g. TI) sell single chips that do this. Does anyone know
how I can get my hands on such a system here in the UK?

Or any good schematics for a DIY circuit? I could try hacking something
together myself but I'd feel safer with a tried-and-tested system.

Well, TI of cause has distributors in UK so all parts are accesible there.
Many of them are catalogue parts, so you could purchase them directly
from any electronic parst supplier.
Specifically for TI in UK see:

Many thanks for your reply.

Yes, I have been looking through TI's UK suppliers. But, so far, none are
willing to sell me any less than 120 parts. I only need 2! I'll keep
looking.
