I have an Onkyo receiver/cd player/tape deck shelf system, model PCS-
103, and the lights have gone out. I looked for fuses and didn't find any.
I opened the case and searched for any obvious loose or broken wires/solder
joints and didn't see any. Anyone have an ideas on what could be wrong? Do
you think it is worth it to have it repaired? I originally paid about $450
for it, but that was 10 years ago.

If I may tack on a second question, the cd carousel gets jammed when
switching CDs. It holds 3 CDs at a time. I have to open the tray and gently
lift the plastic carousel that moves the CDs and then it will complete it's
rotation. I had the same problem fixed under warranty, many years ago, but
the problem has returned. Any ideas.

Thanks.

Just a guess, but the display lamp(s) may be burned out - and there may be a
belt loose in the carousel mechanism.

Now if you were only a technician......

Sorry, I should have been more specific. They are LEDs and they are all
out.

I probably wouldn't need to ask :)

Thanks.
