LICENSE ERROR

Hi everybody ,

I am getting license error while running cadence . When I am running
licence with lmgrd it gives following error

(lmgrd) is running.
20:15:59 (lmgrd) 2. A prior license server manager (lmgrd) was
killed with "kill -9"
20:15:59 (lmgrd) (which would leave the vendor daemon running).
20:15:59 (lmgrd) To correct this, do a "ps -ax | grep cdslmd"
20:15:59 (lmgrd) (or equivalent "ps" command)
20:15:59 (lmgrd) and kill the "cdslmd" process.
20:15:59 (lmgrd)

Please help to fix this problem .

Dear Sabyasachi Da,

Please do the following.

type "ps -ef | grep cdslmd" and note the process number
type "ps -ef | grep lmgrd" and note the process number

now at the command prompt type "kill -9 process_number_of cdslmd"
and then type "kill -9
process_number_of lmgrd"

Else you can type "killall cdslmd"


Now enter into the bin directory of lmgrd. and then run the command

../lmgrd path_to_license_file//license.txt (may be license.dat)

Hi,

Ok then I have to check it. It seems there is a kind of lock file or
something has been generated which is preventing to start the license
files. This may happen due to improper license server shutdown due to
power cut.

I have deleted my cdslock file and my problem is solved.
