LG EC970W VCR problem

Hi everyone, I have the above VCR and it suddenly started to show what looks
like small comets all over the screen on playback of a recorded tape, but
when I put the tape into another machine it plays back fine, so the
recording is obviously OK any ideas greatly appreciated
